I'm sitting in the Chicago airport with Jes at our gate looking completely out of place (imagine that). I just ate my last American meal for awhile, a HOTDOG! So yummy. Not looking forward to this 17+ hour flight but at least Jes is with me. And Jes was right about my bag... I had a feeling it was over 50 pounds because seriously, who goes on a 2 month trip and their 1 suitcase is under 50 pounds? So the lady at the counter said it would be a $200 fee for overweight baggage. Luckily I had a ginormous carry on and put 20 pounds worth into my carry on and checked it since we could have 2 free checked bags! So it all worked out in the end... for now at least. We have many flights to go where we can only take a carry on. Anyways we are sitting on the airplane about to leave for Hong Kong and basically the whole plane is full of Asian people except me and Jes, and amazingly the guy sitting next to me who is a fellow American from Chicago :)
